This 2 days computer based course explains and teaches how to use HP Quality Center (QC) or HP Application Lifecycle (ALM) for quality assurance and software test management throughout the software development lifecycle. It is a computer based practical hands-on training with exercises and examples relating to real-time projects. This course is applicable to business analysts, developers, testers and managers.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
The learning objectives for this course include an understanding of:
- Introduction
- Features and navigation in Quality Center/ALM including Administration
- Management Module
- Plan and manage Releases and Libraries for defining software releases and testing cycles and to track changes, reuse or share entities in a project, respectively.
- Requirements Module
- Manage requirements in a hierarchical tree structure that can be linked to other requirements, tests and/or defects.
- Test Plan Module
- Design and manage test cases in different test suites that can be linked to requirements and defects
- Test Resources Module
- Define and manage test resources that can be associated with specific test cases
- Test Lab Module
- Manage and select specific test cases or test suites for test execution
- Defects Module
- Log, analyse, manage and prioritise defects that are encountered during software testing
- Dashboard Module
- Use the dashboard to generate graphs and reports for testing progress in a project

CERTIFICATION:

- Familiarity with software testing or MyTest Fundamentals Course (Recommended)
